The Social Hub, Fountainbridge

The adventure awaits

Designed for connection. Built for community. Where travellers, students, entrepreneurs and neighbours collide.

Fountainbridge in Edinburgh is set to become a vibrant destination that brings people together in engaging and inclusive ways. The new hub will feature an exciting mix of uses: a welcoming hotel, flexible co-working spaces, extended-stay options, and a lively food and drink offering with a restaurant, rooftop bar and café.

Guests and locals alike will enjoy the clubhouse lounge and gym – spaces designed for connection, creativity and well-being. It’s more than a place to stay, it’s a community built for living, working and thriving.

From community dinners and volunteering initiatives to intergenerational activities with local senior citizens, the hub will host a diverse programme of events designed to foster meaningful connections and shared experiences. Activities will include Better Society masterclasses, group sports, arts and crafts sessions, food and drink workshops, community dining experiences, and the Culture Club programme.

The main entrance faces onto Leamington Square looking down towards the Union Canal, with its reinstated Fountainbridge Brewery Clock. Cafe and restaurant seating also spills out on to the Square, which will create a new buzz around the area. The hub is car free and well connected to bus routes along Fountainbridge and close to the cycle route which runs along the canal.

Edinburgh is my home city and part of my DNA. This is an opportunity to give something back and help shape a bold, positive future for Fountainbridge. The Social Hub is more than a place to stay, it’s a hub where people from all backgrounds come together, help create a better society, and achieve extraordinary things.
