Manchester International Festival

A catalyst for art and culture in the city

We are proud sponsors of Manchester International Festival (MIF), an innovative and forward-thinking catalyst for art and culture in Manchester.

We have enjoyed a collaborative relationship with the MIF team since the launch of Studio North in 2015, realising innovative, world-class public artworks and performance in the heart of the city.

We are privileged to contribute to the festival, designing Festival Square, working with Ibrahim Mahama on ‘Parliament of Ghosts at The Whitworth’, and bringing Jeremy Deller’s “What is the City But the People?” to life – which featured a 100 metre long runway along which 150 proud Mancunians paraded across Piccadilly Gardens.

Being a part of this “celebration of Manchester” has been a brilliant experience, enjoyed by all involved. We are excited about our continued involvement with MIF realising the magic of Festival Square for its new home at Factory International.
