Blackpool Multiversity
An iconic symbol of Blackpool's future

A world-class learning facility serving the people of Blackpool, the Fylde, and beyond.

The Blackpool Multiversity is a bold new vision for education and regeneration, created through a partnership between Blackpool Council and Blackpool and The Fylde College. Located at the heart of the town centre, this state-of-the-art campus will offer a world-class learning environment designed to empower students and uplift the wider community.

With over 10,000m² of dynamic space, the Multiversity will deliver cutting-edge technical and professional education, co-developed with Lancaster University and local employers. Its inclusive design features vibrant social learning zones, hi-tech production facilities, flexible teaching spaces, and an outdoor amenity terrace—all crafted to support lifelong learning and career development.
The building’s striking terracotta façade and open ground floor will create a strong visual identity and a welcoming presence, encouraging footfall and energising the town centre. Its location near key transport hubs and the Talbot Gateway ensures easy access and strengthens links with local businesses, fostering a sustainable and professional district.

Beyond education, the Multiversity will bring lasting benefits to Blackpool and the Fylde Coast—boosting skills, health, biodiversity, and economic opportunity. Landscaped public spaces will connect residential communities with the buzz of the town centre, offering places to gather, reflect, and grow.
