All Saints Campus Hub
A building of the past, reimagined for the future
A new home for Student Services in the heart of the All Saints Campus, Manchester Metropolitan University
We are transforming part of the original All Saints Library into a vibrant new support hub, combining refurbishment with a carefully designed new extension. By retaining and upgrading a significant portion of the existing structure, the scheme reduces demolition waste and embodied carbon, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable campus development while preserving the existing character of the building.
The Hub will be a welcoming and accessible environment for students, which places essential support services at the heart of campus life. A new double-height entrance and flexible internal spaces encourage openness, interaction and well being, enabling students to access everything from digital services to confidential support in a single, inclusive setting designed for diverse needs.
The new extension provides additional teaching, meeting and collaborative spaces, including modern IT labs that support future-focused learning. Flexible layouts allow the building to adapt over time, ensuring long-term social value by responding to changing educational models while supporting staff, students and the wider university community.
The design combines reuse of existing materials with durable, low-maintenance new façades, reducing life-cycle impacts. Integrated within a wider “Street of Services” and adjacent to green campus spaces, the development strengthens connections across the site, contributing to a more sustainable, cohesive and people-focused campus environment.
