We’ve launched a new studio in Dublin!
Studio Ireland is led by Dublin-based architect Colin Mackay, working alongside staff both relocated from London and recruited locally
Our new office on Ely Place in Dublin follows Manchester, Edinburgh and Los Angeles in being the latest studio opened beyond London. Studio Ireland will service existing projects in the Republic of Ireland as well as establishing a long-term presence to help the practice pursue further opportunities in the country.
Most recently, we completed a spatial framework for Colbert Station Quarter: a major city centre regeneration program in Limerick for the Irish Government’s Land Development Agency. This well-connected environment is expected to offer vibrant neighbourhoods, with a focus on delivering affordable housing for the community.
Studio Ireland is led by Colin Mackay, a veteran Dublin architect who has joined the practice to head up projects in the Republic of Ireland. Working closely with Rebecca Watts, Associate Director, and Greg Moss, Partner, they collaborate with the additional staff who have chosen to relocate to Dublin from London and those who are locally recruited architects and support staff.
What drew me to Hawkins\Brown was the practice’s culture of collaboration, research and ideas that is fostered within the organisation. I’m excited about the unique offering of Hawkins\Brown what we’ll be able to contribute to Ireland’s built environment.
In each new studio location, we are serious about engaging with and contributing to the local cultural community and business economy, offering our international ideas to a local conversation. We are excited about being able to continue to contribute to the design and construction community in Ireland and to engage with new clients in new places.
