Design provocation on the future of transport infrastructure

How might a city make its infrastructure more integrated into the ecology of the city? The &\also thinktank imagines an infrastructure that operates beyond its technical remit to provide a social platform for even greater public benefit.

Future Infrastructure speculates on the potential of underground rail stations to be social and productive places. Taking Tottenham Court Road station as an example, the proposals acknowledge that stations are more than nodes in a network but locally distinctive urban places in their own right.

Future Infrastructure appears in The Plan #70, What is the Future of Architecture Vol 2, and was presented at the NLA Pecha Kucha: Capital Idea.
