A new high density residential led, mixed use scheme, that provides 446 homes - each with its own winter garden.
A competition organised by Sellar Design and Development and Notting Hill Housing, to create an inspiring addition to the London skyline that responds to the expansion of London through residential led high rise and high quality residential apartments. Combined with the aspiration to establish a mix of uses that foster community and new vertical neighbourhoods.
The Big Idea
Minerale is a bold vision that strives to challenge the emerging London housing vernacular. It places the living experience at the forefront of the proposals and incorporates design moves that enrich the transition from the street right through to the private amenity spaces, without compromise.
The Small Detail
Minerale is a carefully considered aggregate of forms. The two taller elements would provide high quality living with residential typologies that are dual aspect, have views out from the core and on entry, and benefit from winter gardens. From this stems a innovative façade approach that responds to the arrangement of floor layouts to create the proposals unique sculptural identify.
The third tower incorporates a new hotel – a commercial offer that compliments the area as a destination. The lower levels are packed with community facilities and commercial uses that reinforce and activate the street edges. These surround a landscaped courtyard intended to provide a moment of fantasy and discovery at the heart of the proposals.
