The Social Party \

As a practice that works hard to interrogate the social agenda in architecture, the launch party for the exhibition at the RIBA provided a good opportunity to celebrate the social in other ways. Filled with clients, colleagues and collaborators from past and present the party was a great way to mark everybody's hard work and achievements over the past 25 years.

The speeches were honest and heart felt, and reflected the personalities of the Partners well. I particularly enjoyed David describing himself as the backslash between the H and the B. Through the blurry goggles of a glass of bubbly the interactive exhibition took on a whole new dimension – while it was initially feared that the inflatables would be used as a bouncy castle by an over enthusiastic client (something which I'd still like to see), instead staff regressed into their younger student days – lounged on a fat boy with a glass of wine or two.

All in all, a great party for a great occasion and we look forward to the remaining celebrations throughout the year. I fully support a client's request the day after the party to make this a monthly affair…
