Liverpool Street Station\

We are pleased to announce that Hawkins\Brown has been appointed by Arup and Laing O’Rourke to complete the detail design and construction of the new Crossrail Liverpool Street Station and public realm.

The new station will serve the City of London and the existing Liverpool Street and Moorgate LUL stations whilst providing interchanges with London Underground's connections to Stansted Airport and National Rail.

The £500 million design for the station was originally developed by Wilkinson Eyre Architects in collaboration with Mott Macdonald. It covers two new ticket halls, which at the eastern end will be constructed beneath Liverpool Street, close to the Broadgate development and at the western end, built by developing the existing Moorgate Station.

This is the second Crossrail central section station we have in the studio, the first being Tottenham Court Road. Both are now moving into detail design and construction, and will be operational in 2018.
