Green light for Temporary Innovation Hub in Canada Water \

British Land, in partnership with TEDI-London, has received planning permission to develop a new Temporary Innovation Hub in Canada Water which will be in place for up to seven years.

A part of the wider Canada Water Masterplan, the proposals will transform an under-utilised car park within the Printworks compound into an innovative campus for TEDI-London, where a new generation of engineers will receive industry-led training. The first cohort of students will walk through its doors in September 2021.

The buildings’ modular design enables quick assembly and disassembly through Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), which means these structures will have a life after its tenure as the medium-term home to TEDI-London.

TEDI-London is a design-led engineering higher education provider, which will deliver project-based learning in partnership with industry to make sure graduates are well prepared for the job market. Hawkins\Brown has been a supporter of TEDI-London and has contributed to their curriculum as an industry partner.
