For Jimmy – Manchester to London Cycle Ride\

From Friday 23 June to Sunday 25 June, 25 intrepid cyclists from Hawkins\Brown will be riding 425km from the Manchester studio to their new studio in Pear Tree Street in Clerkenwell, London, which is set to open the week before the ride.

The group have been training hard together, both around Regent’s Park and up and down Highgate’s infamous Swain’s Lane (which peaks at a 20% gradient), and in the cols of Surrey, Kent and Hertfordshire for the longer weekend rides. Our resident semi-pro cyclist and Part 3 student at the practice, Louise Moriarty, has been giving tips on how to ride together safely in a tightly-knit peleton, and a special jersey has been designed by architect Ben Porter.

The ride will be in support of For Jimmy, a Lewisham-based charity that was founded following the murder of Jimmy Mizen in May 2008. Their vision is to make Lewisham a place of peace and safety, by working with schools in the area and building Safe Haven shops, and to share Jimmy's story across the country. All money we raise will go directly to the charity.
