Ark Putney Academy (Formerly Elliott School)
A prime example of a post-war Modernist education building (Grade II listed), remodelled in order to meet the community's current and future learning needs. Saturday 10.00-16.00. Regular tours. John Jeffery, project architect will be on site. Last entry 15.30.
London's 'home for making', an innovative digital and creative campus fostering collaboration in the former broadcast and press centres in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Saturday tours only 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 14.00, 15.00, 16.00. Welcome talks from the team. Max 30 per tour.
St John's Hill / Burridge Gardens
Regeneration of a 1930s Peabody estate in Battersea. Three-phase redevelopment will replace existing 351 homes with 528 new ones, high quality landscaping, new pedestrian avenue from Clapham Junction station to Wandsworth Common, commercial space and new community hub. Saturday/Sunday 10.00-13.00. Regular tours. Last entry 12.30. Max 10 at one time.
Oily Cart, a children's theatre company based in Tooting has undergone a redevelopment which has seen increased access, efficiency and created an inspirational design, including a new mezzanine treehouse and a spectacular gold lift. Saturday 10.00-13.00.
Crossrail, Tottenham Court Road & Liverpool Street
Crossrail is working alongside TfL on a £1bn transformation of Tottenham Court Road Station, the biggest transport investment in the West End for decades. Works include the construction of a secondary ticket hall in Dean Street, and the first new West End theatre in over a decade at the former Astoria. Saturday 9.00-14.00.
