Healthy Minds: Improving Health and Wellbeing in Schools\

On Monday 14th May we will be hosting a workshop as part of the Green Sky Thinking programme, which will explore how our approach to school design can improve the health and well-being of students and teachers.

Hawkins\Brown has always championed simple, passive architectural solutions to providing joyful, robust and well-loved buildings. This workshop will explore how, by embracing new technology such as engineered timber and pre-fabrication, we can meet the challenge of providing cost-effective, well-designed spaces for learning that benefit the people who use them. The wider team involved in a range of recent projects will discuss the design ethos, delivery and lessons learnt for future work.

We will explore these options together in a workshop format with plenty of time for questions to our panel, and over drinks.

Green Sky Thinking is Open City’s annual, week-long professional programme, promoting sustainable design and best practice in architecture, engineering and urban design. This year is its 8th outing, with a new programme, a half-day conference and a new theme - 'people first'.
