Tom studied Architecture at the University of Huddersfield where he achieved a distinction in his part II thesis project, and has subsequently taken on a role of reviewing the design projects of final year students.
He is an enthusiastic architect who enjoys the process of developing a sketch into a piece of architecture through the exploration of architectural language, unlocking site potential and attention to refinement. Tom believes in the importance of understanding construction methods and techniques in early stage work in order to produce well detailed and crafted pieces of architecture.
Before joining Hawkins\Brown, Tom previously worked on a variety of new build and refurbishment projects within the residential, commercial, hotel and creative industries sectors. This included award-winning projects such as the 37 Storey Student Castle Building and Space Project in Manchester.
Outside of work Tom enjoys good food, music and sport, particularly cycling, running and supporting Huddersfield Town FC.
