Patrick studied at the Manchester School of Architecture and now teaches at the school. Prior to joining Hawkins\Brown, Patrick worked at AL_A on the V&A Exhibition Road and the BSkyB Media Campus projects.
Patrick is interested in computational design and he creates new tools to tackle difficult design problems. His on-going PhD, researches building facades that adapt automatically to changes in use and environment.
At the MSA, Patrick teaches young designers to code, as well as, the use of 3D modelling and fabrication technologies. He participates in workshops and attends conferences most notably the Smartgeometry events.
Living on the edge of the Peak District, Patrick enjoys the challenging local cycle routes and walks. He often visits relatives in Bavaria for weissbier and schnitzel.
