  • Associate Director , Education & Research Sector Lead

Negar jointly leads our education and research sector, drawing on over a decade of experience managing complex, multi-phased projects for higher education and research buildings within acclaimed institutions such as the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge and University College London.

Having graduated with a first class Honours from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow, Negar’s research paper on American Urbanism was nominated for the annual RIBA President’s Medal Award. Shortly after university, she worked at architectural practices in New York and Tokyo, gaining not just project experience but a unique global perspective.

Negar is a dedicated and enthusiastic champion of inclusivity – she’s at her best when engaging with complex stakeholder groups to make sure everyone’s voices are heard.

She is also a keen supporter of widening access to the architectural profession, from being an active contributor to our apprenticeship and outreach programmes to being an external examiner at the Glasgow School of Art. Additionally, Negar sits on the RIBA Academic Validation Panel, which monitors the industry’s professional standards.

In her spare time Negar enjoys staying active and can often be found on a hockey pitch playing for her local club.
