Originally from Ireland, Louise completed her Part I studies in University College Dublin and moved to London to study Part II at the University of Westminster.
She has worked for practices in Dublin and London, gaining experience at scales ranging from smaller public and residential projects to urban design and infrastructure. Louise’s design interests include building craft, transport & movement, and the social possibilities of architecture.
Prior to architecture, Louise studied electronic engineering and worked as a researcher in the area of digital video processing. Her work included film special effects (in-betweening, an effect used in The Matrix films) and NightVision for the automotive industry (for Philips Research in the Netherlands).
Away from architecture, Louise is a keen cyclist, having raced internationally with the Irish national squad and European cycling teams. Now she competes in local races and loves to spend sunny days cycling in the Kent and Surrey hills.
