John is an experienced architect who has worked on a diverse range of award winning projects. He is passionate about good design and believes that the key to achieving the best solutions is communication and collaboration.
John studied for a year at a Chicago design school facilitated by Stanley Tigerman. The focus was to address the lack of good design in areas of social need. John specifically worked with a small group who developed and built a prototypical restorative space. This was a pod which would be installed into Chicago free hospitals to provide rest and quiet space for overworked nurses.
Out of work, John pursues a number of other activities from community organising, fundraising and volunteering to cycling, running, climbing mountains and photography.
