Emma Huxtable \

Emma joined Hawkins\Brown as a Part One Architectural Assistant after graduating from the University of Sheffield.

In her final year Emma’s dissertation followed her interest in theatre architecture. This explored the intimacy of audience performer relationships, through the experiential journey of a theatre visit. Using the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, as a case study the dissertation aimed to demonstrate how the modern thrust stage, together with the development of theatre buildings, has contributed and enhanced intimacy from the audience’s perspective.

Outside of architecture Emma likes dancing, visiting the theatre, and playing the clarinet and violin when she has the chance.
