Chris Scaplehorn \

Chris returned to Hawkins\Brown as a Part II in 2018 after graduating with distinction from the University of Sheffield, and Kingston University prior to that.

Chris has developed a strong interest in the social responsibilities of architecture throughout his academic and professional career. This has been explored directly through both his thesis project, which appraised physical democratic spaces in a technological age and was awarded the university’s design and management prize, and an award-winning international competition entry that critiqued current methods of social integration within urban developments.

Outside of the studio Chris spends his time playing the didgeridoo, tiptoeing into the bottomless pit of architecture books thrust his way by overly keen grandparents, and not drinking tea or coffee.
