Andrew joined Hawkins\Brown after graduating from the University of Nottingham where he completed his entire architectural education.
At Nottingham his final year thesis project “[by]Product Landscape”, explored the theoretical translation of a post-industrial landscape into a setting for human ecology. For this work he received a RIBA Silver Medal nomination and the Council for Aluminium in Building Tectonics Prize.
Within Hawkins\Brown he has been involved in a wide variety of projects across varying scales and typologies. He is driven by a keen interest in high quality design coupled with innovative construction methods through prefabrication.
Andrew is originally from Barbados and as a result has developed an interest in the sociocultural aspects of architecture and urbanism. He is also still involved with the University of Nottingham where he is regularly invited back to attend ‘crits’ and assist in tutorials; helping him to maintain a critical approach to design and his work inside and outside of the office.
